Session Topic: Storytelling that Creates Relationships

Steve Rudolph, Chieft Storyteller at the Carlson School of Management will share how major brands use storytelling to create intimate relationships with their consumer base at a large scale.

 

About Steve Rudolph

Steve Rudolph is Chief Storyteller at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. In his role he leads the school’s editorial, public relations, and social media efforts. During his tenure, the school has been recognized as a leader in higher education in the use of video and produced a holiday flash mob with students that garnered more than 2.5 million views on YouTube.

Steve joined the University after spending a decade working in the public relations groups of two of the Twin Cities largest advertising agencies, Olson and Martin Williams. At those agencies his clients included companies such as Chinet, Fifth Third Bank, Lumber Liquidators, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, Polaris, Sprint, 3M, Thomson Reuters, and US Bank.

He is a former contributor to Minnesota Public Radio’s “Morning Edition” where he provided sports commentary and wrote for its “Bleacher Bums” blog, and was the winner or the inaugural Pioneer Press "Average Joe Columnist" contest.
