We’re thrilled to announce four new additions to the MIMA Board of Directors and one change. David Jungers (Programming), Megan Jensen (Higher Education/Membership), Jim Martin (Marketing), and Anthony Romano (Programming) have joined us in leadership roles.
John Ostman has been elected as Board President after serving as a Director of Membership. We are committed to growing our team to help accomplish extraordinary things during extraordinary times.
Anthony is a versatile marketing veteran with 28 years of experience that combines a rare mix of creativity, data, technology, and media. Recently named to the Campaign US “Digital 40 Over 40” list, Anthony was honored for his track record in driving innovation and growth for some the most iconic brands in the world, including Porsche, Harley-Davidson, Anheuser-Busch, General Mills, Citibank, Samsung, Pepsi, Coke, Chase, Nestlé, Hershey’s, MasterCard, Converse, Loews Hotels, TD Bank, Braun, Verizon, PlayStation, Grubhub and Uber.
In his role as President of Wunderman Thompson (Minneapolis and Chicago), Anthony leads a world-class team of storytellers, creative technologists, experience designers, and data scientists across clients such as UnitedHealth Group, Best Buy, Sherwin Williams, United Airlines and Chevron.
A Solution Architect specializing in User Experience at Perficient 16 years of marketing experience in nonprofits, healthcare, and manufacturing. She has a husband of 22 years, Matt and two daughters, Sydney and Kate.
In Megan’s free time, she has been a volunteer EMT for 12 years. If not volunteering, she is constantly working on their 150-year-old farmhouse and she is currently teaching herself how to play the bass guitar. Megan loves attending concerts and festivals with her family and seeking out cool restaurants.
Jim is thrilled to be a member of the MIMA Board of Directors. He’s been an active member of the MIMA community as well as the Minnesota marketing community since 2012. Jim is currently the Director of Marketing for Gasket Studios and VOLT Studios, where he has helped shape their marketing and business development strategies.
You’ll usually find him having conversations ranging from video games, fantasy football, or how to make the perfect scrambled eggs. If you don’t see him having these conversations, he will be at home with his lovely wife, daughter, and soon to be born son! Or on the softball field, trying to relive his glory days.
Over the past decade, David has had the pleasure of holding marketing roles at Best Buy, Mall of America, Sprinklr and Optum. David is currently the Director of Marketing and Communications at The Arc Minnesota, a Saint Paul-based non-profit focused on protecting and promoting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Outside of work David enjoys spending time with friends, visiting Minneapolis parks, exploring Minnesota’s brewery scene, going to MN sporting events and hanging out with his partner and their Siberian Husky, Nikita.
John was elected as MIMA President after serving for nearly two years as the Director of Membership and Higher Education. John is currently the Senior Director of eCommerce and Digital Strategy for Jack Link’s Protein Snacks. He is an 18 year eCommerce and digital marketing industry veteran with experience building and leading growth-focused B2C and B2B organizations. John has mentored startup companies through the gener8tor accelerator program and has a passion for helping marketers grow personally and professionally.
