Having an accessible website is the “right thing to do” as it makes goods and services available to a population that can most-benefit from Internet-based services. Most websites and are not accessible to disabled users, including the visually impaired, and those companies are missing out on millions of potential customers, including a growing group of seniors. Finally, Non-accessible websites and apps are at substantial risk of being named in class-action lawsuits under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other anti-discrimination laws. This interactive workshop will be led by Steve Helland (Fredrickson & Byron), Michele Landis (Accessible360) and Amber James (Clockwork).

Join us to get hands on experience with accessible technology tools and learn practical tips and best practices for improving the accessibility of your website or app. Additionally you will gain knowledge about the current legal landscape in regards to the ADA and websites.
