October 11, 2016Summit Session Highlight: GoKart Labs
Note: This year’s Summit will include an interactive session with the team from GoKart Labs. Participants will be invited to share their thoughts on how MIMA can do more for the Twin Cities community while also getting to see GoKart’s agile process at work. The GoKart Labs team authored the following post to offer more detail about the partnership and the upcoming session.
What We’re Doing
MIMA is the oldest interactive marketing association in the country. And like every great adaptive organization, MIMA is looking for the next great step forward in their evolution. This year, we have the unique opportunity to help MIMA shape the future of the digital marketing industry.
Coming to a consensus on decisions is one of the most difficult parts of any organization. It’s no different for MIMA; MIMA could evolve in a million different ways in the upcoming years. As part of the MIMA Summit, we will lead an interactive breakout session to show how organizations can make those difficult decisions quickly. This shows a lot of initiative on MIMA’s part and is an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn specifically how GoKart Labs helps companies identify the digital vision for their company.
What You Can Expect
GoKart Labs will lead a breakout session using a variety of methods and exercises with MIMA organizers, members and non-members. In this session, MIMA board members will gain insights from attendees and non-members alike. GoKart Labs will use the exercises to set a 2017 plan for MIMA and map the next phase of priorities.
What You’ll Learn
This session will be a great opportunity to learn how to quickly get the wheels moving on new innovation initiatives. As GoKart leads MIMA through a series of goal-setting exercises, attendees will be taught how to use these strategies in their own organizations. After the session, attendees will be able to download the methods used during the session. By attending, you will have a front row seat to watching the vision reveal itself in real-time. Using human-centered design methods, this workshop will draw out insights and ideas for how we can make the future of MIMA as bright as its past. Take a quick QUIZ now to help get things started.
