What it’s about

For decades, brands have largely controlled their own narratives. The rise of new media in the recent past has shifted the power dynamics from CMOs to creators and even consumers who have just as much, if not more, sway over a brand’s perception, if only for a viral moment. At the same time, fickle attention spans, audiences and algorithms define the current landscape, making it harder than ever to break through.
Enter branded entertainment. This concept has emerged in recent years as a response to the rapidly evolving marketing ecosystem; one where TikTok is more popular than Netflix and YouTube is more watched than TV. This is the world of influencers, creators, producers and makers who know how to craft a story and cut through clutter online.
So, how can brands and marketers, who are pinched by escalating expectations to cut costs and produce results, get started and where should they place their bets – internal capabilities or external creative partners? How do you adapt to a new era of branded entertainment?
Get the scoop directly from brands, agencies and talent managers/creators to start unlocking the future of creative partnerships at your own organization. Our discussion will cover these critical topics among others:
  • Why would brands or agencies look externally for creative expertise?
  • What types of creative to outsource and which partners to engage?
  • Who owns the creative vision in collaborations between brands, agencies and external creative partners?
  • How do you judge effectiveness and demonstrate ROI to stakeholders?
